Allen's Scrap & Salvage (2021) Ltd. is Prince George's only scrap metal recycler that is locally owned and operated. We were founded in 1964 by Joe Allen, who established and managed the company with his family for almost 30 years. In May 1997, Joe and his son, Alex Allen, sold the company to the present owner, Heinz Bartkowski. Heinz and his brother John took over as General Managers, while Alex remained with the firm as Operations Manager. In 2009, John left Allen's Scrap & Salvage (2021) Ltd.

Allen's Scrap & Salvage (2021) Ltd. is Northern BC's largest local metal recycler, focused on the province's north central area. The company has expanded under the guidance of Heinz and Alex. There are now two locations: the original in Prince George and the other in Terrace. Allen's Scrap & Salvage (2021) Ltd. has a fleet of trucks, trailers, mobile shears, and magnets, as well as over 500 bins of all sizes spread around the north central area. Our service area includes Williams Lake, Prince Rupert, Valemount, and Tumbler Ridge.

Both Prince George and Terrace facilities collect, classify, and process scrap metal, which is then recycled and sold in markets across the world. Allen's Scrap & Salvage (2021) Ltd. can export by rail, in foreign containers, and by road from its Prince George location. We also maintain a carefully selected inventory of good used steel items and machines for resale.
